Refund & Pass Guarantee Policy

The PermitPop Pass Guarantee
We're so confident PermitPop will help you pass that we back it with a full refund guarantee. Put in the work, follow the plan, and if you still don't pass — we'll give you your money back. No fine print tricks.

Pass Guarantee Criteria
To qualify for a refund under the Pass Guarantee, you must meet all three of the following requirements:
1. Complete All Study Modules
You must complete every study module available for your selected state. This means working through all topic categories — road signs, right-of-way, traffic laws, safety, and every other module in your state's question bank.
2. Score 85%+ on 3 Consecutive Practice Tests
You must score 85% or higher on three consecutive full-length practice tests within the PermitPop app. These must be complete, timed practice exams — not partial quizzes, topic reviews, or quick-study sessions. The three tests must be taken in a row without a failing score in between.
3. Study 5 of the Last 7 Days Before Your Test
You must have active study sessions logged in PermitPop during at least 5 of the 7 calendar days immediately preceding your scheduled DMV permit test date. This ensures the material is fresh in your memory on test day.
How to Claim Your Refund
If you met all three criteria above and still failed your DMV permit test, here's how to claim your refund:
- Email us within 30 days: Send an email to support@permitpop.ai within 30 days of your DMV test failure. Include the subject line: “Pass Guarantee Refund Request.”
- Attach proof of failure: Include a photo or scan of your DMV failure receipt, test result letter, or equivalent official documentation from your state's DMV showing you did not pass.
- Include your account email: Make sure to send from (or include) the email address associated with your PermitPop account so we can verify your study data.
- We verify and process: Our team will review your study history to confirm you met all three guarantee criteria. If verified, we will process your full refund.
Processing Timeline
- Verification: We will review your claim within 3 business days of receiving it.
- Refund processing: Once approved, your refund will be issued to your original payment method within 5-10 business days.
- Bank processing: Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take an additional 3-5 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.
Standard Refund Policy
If you do not qualify for the Pass Guarantee, the following standard refund policy applies:
- Within 7 days of purchase, no content accessed: If you request a refund within 7 days of your purchase and have not accessed any study content (practice tests, study modules, or index cards), you are eligible for a full refund.
- Within 7 days of purchase, content accessed: If you have accessed study content, we will review your request on a case-by-case basis. Partial refunds may be offered at our discretion.
- After 7 days: Purchases are generally non-refundable after 7 days, unless you qualify for the Pass Guarantee.
To request a standard refund, email support@permitpop.ai with your account email and reason for the request.
Important Notes
- The Pass Guarantee is available only to Pro plan users. Basic plan users are not eligible for the Pass Guarantee but may request a standard refund.
- The Pass Guarantee applies to your first DMV permit test attempt after completing all criteria. Subsequent attempts are not covered.
- We reserve the right to deny refund claims that show evidence of fraudulent activity, including but not limited to: fake DMV failure documentation, artificially inflated study data, or multiple accounts.
- All refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
